How It Works:

Mebendazole selectively targets parasites by disrupting microtubule formation within their cells. This blocks the parasite's ability to absorb glucose, depleting the energy reserves they need to survive. Dead parasites are then passed out of the body through stool. Mebendazole lacks a sulfoxide group, making it more lipophilic (fat-soluble). Absorption is significantly improved when taken with a meal containing healthy fats such as avocado, eggs, or coconut oil. Importantly, mebendazole kills existing worms but does not destroy their eggs. Strict hygiene measures during and after treatment are therefore essential to prevent reinfection.
