Description

Mebendazole is a clinically established antiparasitic medication used to treat intestinal worm infections. It belongs to the benzimidazole drug class, widely used in both adults and children for parasite control.

How it works:

Mebendazole selectively targets parasites by disrupting microtubule formation within their cells. This blocks the parasite's ability to absorb glucose, depleting the energy reserves they need to survive.
Dead parasites are then passed out of the body through stool. Mebendazole lacks a sulfoxide group, making it more lipophilic (fat-soluble). Absorption is significantly improved when taken with a meal containing healthy fats.
